Perseverance is “continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition“. With perseverance, we overcome obstacles and setbacks, we even learn a few new useful skills that will pay off in the long run. I met a little Petrine yesterday in the afternoon near the badminton court. She was talking to me in a flow in Hindi. I heard her. I asked her to repeat herself in English, which she could not. I encouraged her by saying that she should not get discouraged because she was unable to speak in English, though she wanted to. She should make continued effort to speak in English. That is perseverance.
