Our Patron

Simon Peter denied the Lord three times He deserted and fled from the Lord at least once. He was receptive and made steady improvements. Peter had a loving child-like heart. He was humble. In Christian tradition, St. Peter was one of the 12 Apostles of Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus established St. Peter as the first pope (Matthew 16:18). Jesus also gave him "the keys of the kingdom of heaven" Matthew (16:19), which is why he is often depicted at the gates of heaven in art and popular culture. After Lord Jesus ascension, he served as the head of the Apostles and was the first to perform a miracle after Pentecost (Acts 3:1-11). There are two letters of St. Peter in the Holy Bible that are attributed to his authorship.
