Drugs Awareness Programme

Today, 12 Sep 2024, the school campus witnessed an enlightening and impactful Drugs Awareness Programme organized in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and the Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir. The seminar was aimed at educating the students of Grades 8, 9, and 10 about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of staying informed and vigilant.

The session was led by none other than Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), ANTF J&K, who brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the discussion. He engaged the students with compelling insights into the pervasive problem of drug addiction, the tactics used by traffickers, and the adverse effects of substance abuse on both individuals and society at large.

Mr. Sharma emphasized the critical role young minds play in combating this menace by making informed choices and spreading awareness among peers. He also shared practical advice on how to recognize and resist peer pressure, encouraging students to reach out for help if they or someone they know are at risk.

The interactive session not only educated the students but also empowered them to take an active stand against drugs, reinforcing the school’s commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and responsible environment for its pupils.

Such initiatives reflect our institution’s dedication to holistic education, equipping students not only with academic knowledge but also with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of life. We are grateful to the ANTF and the Crime Branch for their support in making this crucial programme a success.
