Admissions

Admission, Withdrawal & Other Basic Information:

  1. The first admission to the school is generally done in UKG and Class I. The admission to these classes will be completed only after the application has been considered by having conducted a suitable test or a befitting interview. (Please see registration form for details.)
  2. The admission to all other classes depends upon the availability of seats.
  3. The right to admit a child in any class is reserved to the principal. He may refuse admission to any candidate without furnishing reasons.
  4. For the first admission to the school the original date of birth certificate (laminated) of the child from the competent authority has to be submitted at the school office. The original certificate of D.O.B. will be retained in the school as a permanent record.
  5. Those who seek admission must attach a photocopy of the D.O.B. certificate with the application form before submission.
  6. For Roman Catholic Christian candidates, parents must attach a photocopy of D.O.B and copy of recently-obtained baptism certificate along with the application form before submission.
  7. No candidate shall be admitted to the school (Class II onwards) without a transfer certificate from the school last attended, which must be countersigned by the competent authority of the Department of Education of the government.
  8. Details of the students entered in the admission form and thereafter in the school records shall be final. No change shall be entertained unless directed by the competent authority.
  9. For the withdrawal of a student from the school, one month’s notice in writing with the reason must be submitted by the parents at the office of the principal.
  10. Transfer Certificate shall be issued after recovering the term fees (Tuition Fee & Annual Fee) in full.
  11. The management, acting through the principal, reserves the right to discharge any student who is deemed unsatisfactory / unfit in respect of studies, general conduct, attendance, participation in school activities and discipline or who fails to qualify for promotion for two consecutive years in the same class. In such instance, the principal is not bound to give any reason.
  12. Irregular attendance, neglect of studies, classwork, and homework, rude behaviour of the parents/guardians, non-cooperation of the parents/guardians, disturbing behaviour in the classroom, disobedience of the students, disrespect to the members of the staff, violent behaviour, non-participation in school activities, continuous late arrivals are certain reasons sufficient enough for the dismissal of a student.
  13. Fee defaulters could be barred from attending classes. Names of fee defaulters of the whole academic year shall be struck off the rolls.
  14. The names of the students who remain absent for 14 consecutive days without getting permission from the principal shall be struck off the rolls.
  15. Fee concession policy is governed by the policy of the Diocese of Jammu Srinagar (Regd.) and at the discretion of the principal.
  16. All fees shall be remitted through Canara Bank, Shalimar Road, Jammu. A fee booklet will be issued to every student at the beginning of the academic year. Kindly contact the account section in the school office for any query regarding school fees.
  17. Instructions and established traditions of the school regarding examination, activities, leave, uniform, and other daily conduct shall be observed by all.
  18. Promotion of and participation in extracurricular activities is achieved through various programmes of Jammu Sahodaya Schools, Diocese of Jammu Srinagar Education Board schools, various school clubs, teams, houses and movements.

  20. Result is declared on the basis of the student’s overall performance throughout the entire academic year, which shall cover periodical tests, subject enrichment activities, maintenance of class work copies, terminal examinations, assignments, attendance, and discipline.
  21. Results declared are final in all cases and shall not be reconsidered.
